A Return to Stranglethorn's Shadows
Adventurers, prepare yourselves. The mystical and perilous jungles of Stranglethorn Vale once again call for heroes to step into the fray. With the imminent release of **Cataclysm Classic: Rise of the Zandalari** on July 30, a thrilling and dangerous journey awaits. As the ancient evils of Zul'Gurub and Zul'Aman awaken, only the bravest can hope to thwart the Zandalari and their allies, reclaim the lands, and reap the rewards.
The Zandalari Threat Emerges
The situation in Stranglethorn has taken a dire turn. The Gurubashi tribe, bolstered by newfound strength, wreaks havoc across the region. Vol’jin, leader of the Darkspear tribe, has discretely sent emissaries to the capitals of Stormwind and Orgrimmar, calling upon all capable adventurers to investigate and neutralize this threat.
Players will embark on new level-85 solo quests, navigating the dense and dangerous jungles of Stranglethorn. The questline introduces Bwemba, a spirited Darkspear spirit-talker, as a key ally. She will guide players through the treacherous landscape, tracking down Hemet Nesingwary and confronting the formidable bosses of Zul'Gurub.
Return to Zul'Gurub
Zul'Gurub, once a thriving city, now stands as a stronghold for the empowered Gurubashi. In this revamped level-85 5-player Heroic dungeon, players will encounter updated mechanics and challenges. Familiar faces such as High Priest Venoxis, Broodlord Mandokir, and Jin'do the Godbreaker await, ready to defend their territory fiercely. Defeating these formidable foes will reward adventurers with a treasure map, leading to an account-bound ring with a gem so large it’s visible when worn.
For those skilled in Archaeology, an additional challenge lies within Zul'Gurub. Gri'lek, Renataki, Hazza'rah, and Wushoolay can be summoned, offering unique rewards and loot. These encounters demand both skill and perseverance, promising rich rewards for those who succeed.
The Rebirth of Zul'Aman
Not far from Zul'Gurub, the Amani tribe has also resurfaced, united under the new leadership of Daakara. Zul'Aman has been transformed into a challenging level-85 5-player Heroic dungeon. While veterans of The Burning Crusade will recognize the setting, the mechanics have been updated to fit the current gameplay.
Akil'zon, Nalorakk, Jan'alai, Halazzi, Hex Lord Malacrass, and Daakara themselves stand ready to challenge any who dare enter. The dungeon's layout and encounters have been optimized for a 5-player group, ensuring a fresh and exhilarating experience.
Gearing Up for the Challenge
Entry into Zul'Gurub and Zul'Aman requires a minimum average item level of 346. These dungeons are set in a separate Heroic difficulty tier, above the existing Cataclysm Heroic dungeons, and offer item level 353 epic-quality loot. Players can expect a plethora of gear, including rare and hard-to-find items such as bracers, helms, shoulders, guns, and wands.
